B&O Medicom has initiated Copenhagen Compliance & Concordance Conference (CCCC) 2008 together with the University of Copenhagen and the Research Centre for Quality in Medicine Use, because we truly believe in the benefits of improving individual patient compliance to prescribed therapies and thereby providing a shortcut to better health.
Why discuss patient compliance?
In fact, the average patient forgets every second dose*, so patients need a reminder and a motivation to keep on taking their full course of prescribed medication. Otherwise, they may face a relapse, hospitalization or in severe cases - death. Learn more about why non-compliance is a burning issue for pharmaceutical companies, patients, physicians and society here.
CCCC - Finding New Compliance Solutions
CCCC 2008 gathers a number of leading experts active in the field of patient compliance and adherence including Dr. Brian Haynes, Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and Medicine, McMaster University, who will discuss the Cochrane review on adherence.
The conference aims at discussing compliance and creating a profound insight in the subject through input from many different stakeholders, including researchers, practitioners, regulatory bodies, the pharmaceutical industry, as well as patients and their relatives. Thereby, we aim at creating a dedicated platform for intelligent compliance solutions for the future.
