European Respiratory Society Annual Congress, October 4-8, Berlin, Germany

The ERS Conference is Europe’s leading gathering in the sector of respiratory care. This is the 18th annual congress and it is expected to gather around 17,000 doctors, researchers and allied health professionals from around the world. At the conference, important issues and possible improvements within major respiratory care areas are discussed. This year, special attention is given to lung cancer, COPD, tuberculosis and clinical testing, among many other interesting topics.

Following our successful participation in the technical exhibition in the past years, we are looking forward to, once again, be present at the conference. Copenhagen Compliance & Concordance Conference, May 30, Copenhagen, Denmark

Bang & Olufsen Medicom initiated Copenhagen Compliance & Concordance Conference (CCCC) 2008 with the University of Copenhagen and the Research Centre for Quality in Medicine Use, because we truly believe in the benefits of improving individual patient compliance to prescribed therapies. The conference is now over - and it was a great success!

The aim of the conference was to create profound insight in patient compliance through input from a variety of stakeholders including researchers, practitioners, regulatory bodies, the pharmaceutical industry, as well as patients and their relatives. Thereby, we wanted to generate a dedicated platform for intelligent compliance solutions for the future.

CCCC 2008 gathered a number of leading experts active in the field of patient compliance and adherence, including Professor Brian Haynes, Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and Medicine, McMaster University, who discussed the Cochrane review on adherence.

Respiratory Drug Delivery, Scottsdale, Arizona, US, May 11-15

The Respiratory Drug Delivery (RDD) conference gathers scientific and industry people with the aim to provide a meeting place for in-depth discussions of many developing issues surrounding aerosol drug delivery, including new therapeutic opportunities and drug design technologies, progress in drug development alongside novel in vitro and in vivo testing methods and regulatory science.

Pharmaceutical and Medical Packaging 2008, May 6-7, Copenhagen, Denmark

This meeting gathers industry people for the pharmaceutical and medical device sector with a special attention given to packaging and distribution as well as attendants from the public sector.

We are looking forward to giving our view on the importance of design and user friendliness. At this occasion, Tanya Arp-Nielsen, Business Development Manager at Bang & Olufsen Medicom, will discuss the importance of safety and user friendliness, when creating the auto injector solution for the future in a speech entitled: “Injection – the Easy, Safe and Simple Way”. The speech also deals with the trends within injection and the market of tomorrow. Pharmapack provides an international platform of drug packaging and drug delivery devices with a special attention given this year to discuss “How innovations in packaging and drug delivery packaging enhance health product safety”. Pharmapack gathers an international audience during the two day conference, including designers, manufacturers and other suppliers of devices, packaging and production equipment, as well as researchers and scientists from academia and pharmacist from the industry and from hospitals.
