It is estimated that poor regimen compliance results in over $100 billion in yearly expenses in the US and it is also estimated that the non compliance figures for European and Japan combined could also be in this region.*
In addition, The Healthcare Compliance Packaging Council has studied this issue and believes that non compliance could be blamed for the deaths of more than 125,000 US citizens annually.
In addition, non compliance could also be attributed to 10% of all hospital admissions in the US and 23% of all nursing home admissions. This is due to the fact that for several reasons, people are unable to take their prescribed medication.
