The new sensor technology from Medicom can apply to a wide variety of medical and non-medical applications. The patented, high-performance and low-cost acoustic sensor element can be optimized for sound pick-up on soft tissue.
The sensor can also be customised with respect to size, number of individual sensors on the same "carrier" board, mechanical encapsulation, electrical interference etc. Pictured above are blood measure monitors using this sensor technology.
Recently Bang & Olufsen Medicom was rewarded for its role in developing noise reduction sensor technology with its partner 3M Healthcare in the design and development of the E3000 electronic stethoscope.
